Choosing a university career is an important decision that you’ll have to make after high school. However, it is not easy to have a clear idea of what you want to study at the university, even by looking at many professionals careers in the market. For many people it is very hard to choose just one career. Some people do not always focus on their clear goals. In this essay, I will tell how I choose the career that I am pursuing today.
Firstly, how did I choose my career? To begin with I have two brothers. When they finished the high school, they decided to study computing and informatics. Then they told me about the themes developed in class. While I listened attentively, at that time I liked the subject.
Secondly, when I stayed in high school, I liked and read internet articles about technology and informatics. The teachers of my school gave me homework assignments about technology and I liked performing them, so I choose a career in informatics. It was a goal of mine.
Lastly, after I finished high school, I decided to take an aptitude test, the result was positive for me because the result said me that I could choose a career in informatics. Then I decided to pursue a career of system engineering and my parents supported my decision.
In addition, months after I finished high school, I studied a pre - university course at the Autonoma University of Peru, where they prepared me for university life and about basics courses that I would to have take.
In conclusion, Finding out about yourself is an essential part of the research you need to do when choosing a career. For this reason, It’s important to assess your skills, abilities and personality also setting and reviewing short, medium and long term goals enables you to develop your career. In my opinion it's enough to do what you love and be good at it.
